I haven't had an Easter with my family in well over 5 years. And Easter with my family is dang fun! Why? Because we still do the traditional Easter Egg Hunt. The uncles/dads still hide the eggs (usually in crazy to reach places like on an inflatable in the middle of the pool, or up on an insanely high tree branch, or in a scary, spider-infested corner of the outdoor shed, or in plain sight on my dad's belt.) And the kids--even the big ones like me!--still run like crazy to find them and then collect some mulah! from my grandpa once we've found the egg with our name on it. (it's just a couple dollars but still awesome:)
Jay was into it for a few minutes, but didn't quite grasp that you want to keep the eggs you find. He mainly gave them away to his 2nd cousin Will and put them in his basket. Such a giving heart on this Easter Sunday. :)
This year, the traditional honey baked ham and cheese potatoes Larkins Easter dinner, and all its fabulous extras, was held at Uncle Donald and Aunt Heather's house. They have a beyond gorgeous oak tree smack in the middle of their backyard and so quite a few pictures were staged in front of it. Everyone talked, ate, played, jumped and swung the beautiful day away in the yummy California weather. Get ready for a ton o' pictures.
Happy Easter!!
